It’s 💯% OK to be single for as long as you want, especially after a bad breakup, but the reason is not because you’ve sworn off love and have turned into a scorned ice queen. It’s because you’re taking time to heal, process and to thoughtfully reflect on your love lessons. You’re rebuilding your identity and filling your life with passions and hobbies that give you a sense of purpose. And when you do decide to date again, you don’t rush things or get into a relationship with anyone just because they show you attention. You date with a purpose and intent to find your ideal match, and you enjoy your experiences as you get to know people, always with the mindset that you have power in the dating process, you will not give away your worth, and you will set the standards for how you want to be treated by treating yourself that way first.
